Local consultation 1

NHS South of Tyne and Wear acute health services for children and young people

On 7th December 2011 a public consultation was launched, inviting patients, health professionals and the general public, to give their views on the future of services for acutely sick and injured children across Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside.

The consultation is the result of three years’ work looking at how services can be improved. During this time the PCT has engaged widely in developing these proposals, with input from healthcare specialists, the children and young people who use the services, and their parents.

To have your say about these proposals you can attend one of the local consultation events, full details are on the NHS South of Tyne and Wear website. Alternatively, you can complete the questionnaire which is also on the website or call 0191 529 7374 for a copy.

We have attached a copy of the full consultation document and a leaflet describing the proposed changes and anticipated benefits.

The consultation will end on 31 March 2012.
